Grupo Aire was present at DCD>Connect Madrid 2024, one of the leading national events in the data center sector, which took place on May 21-22 at the Madrid Towers Hotel. More than 1,400 people from 40 countries participated in this event, filled with interesting debates about the present and future of data centers.

As a key event in the sector in Southern Europe, DCD>Connect Madrid 2024 served as a platform for knowledge transfer. Industry experts of great relevance shared their vision of the future and the main challenges the sector faces in the medium and long term. Among them was Zigor Gaubeca, CTO of Grupo Aire, who participated in the panel “Bridging Horizons: The Valencian Community Getting Closer to Becoming an International Connectivity Hub.”

Other prominent topics in the 70 panels, conferences, workshops, and discussion tables included sustainability in the sector, the rise of technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the growing investment in the industry in Spain and Europe.

The event’s opening featured key figures such as Silvia Roldán, Deputy Minister of Digitalization of the Community of Madrid; Jerónimo Mora, Secretary of Innovation of the Generalitat Valenciana; Ángel Niño, Head of the Delegated Area of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; and Emilio Díaz, President of the Spanish Data Center Association (Spain DC).
