Grupo Aire consolidates its presence in the Canary Islands with the integration of Idecnet, an operator with its own network and data centre in the islands.

Madrid, 10 January 2024 – Grupo Aire announces the incorporation of the operator Idecnet, a company specialising in connectivity and data centre services in the Canary Islands. This incorporation boosts Grupo Aire’s presence in the area and consolidates its leading position in the telco market, enabling the expansion of its network infrastructure and the addition of a new data centre to its own data centres network.
The incorporation of Idecnet is part of Grupo Aire’s strategy of incorporating companies that allow it to boost its growth, strengthen its positioning and create synergies in its portfolio of solutions.
Idecnet, created in 1995 and based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, stands out for being the first operator of 10G dedicated circuits in the Canary Islands. Focused on advanced technological solutions and personalised service, it provides connectivity, data centre and voice services to more than 1,100 business customers, public administrations and operators in the Canary Islands with a turnover of more than 4 million euros in 2023.
Idecnet’s portfolio is underpinned by its own extensive fibre network in Gran Canaria and Tenerife and its own data centre in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and ranges from advanced connectivity solutions to data centre services with ISO/IEC 27001 and ENS Media certifications that support the quality and security of its services and integrate seamlessly into Grupo Aire’s solutions.
